And man that stinks. It seems like you either have a giant jar of buttons somewhere or you don't have any. Look in thrift stores/yard/garage/rummage sales.

I made a trip down to the local beach and had a lovely evening with friends, making offerings and communing with Manannan Mac Lir. I made a post over on my Tumblr (here's the permalink if you are interested) that has some pictures and a full description on what was done. It was a very fulfilling evening.

So i have been having some sea feels, but I dunno if its Manannan Mac Lir or not. I am getting ready for Midsummer this year and I feel i have a kickass altar (i know they are not traditional but I love home decor) and I live near the ocean so i am definitely paying rent this year!

Going to see if I can get down to the beach this year for Midsummer. Bring him something with me when I go. If I go. Even if not he is getting special stuff because ManannĂ¡n is the legit best.

Legit.
A recent trip down to the sea was complete with offerings of whisky and reeds and some shells and I wadded out into the surf and just contemplated things for a while. I enjoy what I've started calling "quiet time with Manannan".

I wish I could be that restrained when near the sea. As is I just charge on out screaming and ready. I more do my contemplation about him and the ocean when I am far from it. Assuming I'm not pining. PINING FOR THE FJORDS. Wait no.

More sea god feels. After last years wonderful midsummer, I fell off honoring/worshipping our favorite sea god Manannan Mac Lir. When I moved into my new place I made a little shrine in my bathroom for him but some things broke and... I forgot about it. But I felt compelled to honor him again, so I made a small shrine for him. Now that it's almost summer in desert here, I have been getting feels again. Midsummer is coming up, but I want to honor Manannan more regularly. So I had a bath with bath salts (and a face mask) and did a meditation to try and introduce myself (I guess) again to him. It was great actually, but like I got the impression after the niceties were over that he wanted me to "get on with my day". UPG of this expirience is that he felt very melancholy as well as being very funny, and was very down to earth (haha). The dichotomy was great. But I feel he wants me to be more practical with my practice rather than, I dunno, ...ritualistic or something. So that what I got! Also I miss the ocean (that's clean enough to go swimming in).

Paying rent today! i made a bigger shrine/altar to Manannan and i am going to offer what i can. i also walked int eh 100+ degree heat to the creek to collect some grasses for the Rent, since we dont have reeds here. i am landlocked and all the water here is dried up so i am planning on offering the grasses (that i braided) in my ritual bath later today! also since its so hot in the so cal desert, i am limiting cooking. its too hot to turn on the oven. How is everyone else celebrating today?

Chiming in again because he's been feeling like safety AND ALSO PRANKING ME WITH IMAGES OF FUCKING MCCREEI wish I could go to the sea more often than once every couple years or so. The closest I can get to him is when we go to just about any large body of water Lake Sebago is usually the best place because I actually get to get on a boat as well as kayak. IMAGE COURTESY OF A FRIEND I THOUGHT WAS A FRIEND BUT WAS LIKE "#ur being pranked is what you get for sharing this post with me#to be clear: that image is related bc of the expression mostly#and the manman making said expression#still cant decide if i prefer manman or bannanaman" ... #feelings Edit: That is to mean, I don't visualize in full proper images, but more the feeling and possibility of there being an image. It's weird. SO IT'S LIKE. I JUST RANDOMLY GET THIS FEELING OF MANANA BANANA IN MY HEAD BUT IT'S MCCREE STANDING THERE INSTEAD. ... #feelings again
