Does anyone work with him? I've been thinking and reading a bit about him since my time at the beach, so I thought I'd share some of my ideas below; it's mostly UPG but based in the things we can read about him in the third branch (and a bit of the second branch) of the Mabinogion (I haven't read the relevant triads yet)
It seems like the usual approach is to connect or even conflate Manwydan with Mannanán, given that parts of their names are cognate, but Manawydan does not seem to have such a strong sea-God vibe. That said, he did come through to me while I was by the ocean, and I have made a hanging shrine to him out of driftwood and other things I found there. But to me this connection is less about the sea or water per se and more about liminality, being a God of crossings; this makes sense to me when you consider the amount of travelling between places that Manawydan does in the Third Branch. Also, when I made the shrine I invoked him as a protector in times of trouble, and as a master of skilled crafts—after all we see him in the Third Branch as a maker of multiple different kinds of items (shields, shoes).
If anyone has any other thoughts they'd like to share, please do!
