Because I clearly do not have enough in-progress projects, I'm toying with building my own divination system. Have any of you ever created your own before? Care to share about your experience?

I've been working with an Oracle deck for a couple of years now, a project mostly composed of intuition and lots of practice reading for people who know enough about divination to give good feedback.

I'm creating a stichomancy oracle book out of excerpts of poems I love -- it's kinda slow going, because I'm copying them all into the notebook by hand, but it's rewarding so far.

That sounds beautiful! I'd been thinking about creating some sort of game board, possibly based off of Fidchell per Zach's suggestion, but I'm wondering if I'm getting too complicated when I haven't even handled an already established system yet, ha. Although I feel like I'd have an easier time of it if the first thing I worked with was something I created myself. Not really sure now I think about it. Anyone have any thoughts on that?
