I am Ank-rising, you can call me Ank, or even Manda, if you prefer. I recently found this forum through tumblr, from saint-felicity and allec to be exact. Hi guys!
My username isn't religious, as most people think, its actually going to be my initials when I get married. my initials A N K are on the Rise. Ha ha..? Yeah, bad joke on my part but it sounds like a cool name.
Religious Stuff -
Anyways, I am interested in Gaelic Polytheism. I am a reformed monotheist and I was looking for what really speaks to me, and like a lot of people i found Wicca. But its too...fluffy(? I would say fluffy) for me. I wanted to go back to my roots, my ancestors roots. So i ended up looking into "Celtic" religions and specifically my Irish roots, so Gaelic Polytheism found me. It practically whack me on the head lol. I have been interested in the myths and legends and folk tails of Ireland since i was a kid, and here I am. I am honoring Ireland personified now, as a whole I guess (Eriu). But I am a newbie and I came for more info and to learn. So I'd say i have been a reformed monotheist for 5 years, but not practicing any religion for three years, and searching for two?

- I am an artist who works primarily with pen and ink designs, I have done a couple tattoo designs, and I mostly just draw for me (or the gods
) I also paint and do photography. - I am on tumblr as ank-rising, and I am a magic practitioner/witch. you can call me a witch I wont get offended. I practice hearth craft, magic to protect the home and bless its inhabitants and block negative energy/magic from coming in. I leave offerings to the fae-folk, and they seem to like it.

- I also work at a paper-craft store.
- I am getting (christian/traditionally) married at the end of October!
I am from so-cal and I live in the LA area, but I might be moving to Portland in the future.
