Ok, introduction. My name is Diana, and I've been a practicing pagan for almost 20 years now. I started off Wiccan, as most people have, but it quickly lost the appeal and I floated around between atheism and eclecticism until about 2006 when I discovered Celtic Reconstructionism.
But it's such a small community and there is so little out there, I've been dying for a community to sort of help me figure things out. I have a background in anthropology and British Archaeology (specifically Anglo-Saxon/Viking Age Britain and Ireland, and archaeological science, namely bog bodies). I know my stuff and I know how to research, but I've been struggling to combine the academic facts with a workable modern religious life.
I found you guys because I recently narrowed down my path to Brythonic Polytheism, and you guys were the second result on Googl. Imagine my joy to see that this board is active!
Anyway, that's enough rambling. I'm excited to be here and I can't wait to learn from you, and also to share what I have learned.

Welcome! Good to see I'm not alone over here. Have you ever read Shae Clancy's free e-book "Land, Sea and Sky"? It contains lots of reliable information about the Celts in general. However, its contributor do not practice self-censorship, so do expect to see some irremediably outdated customs mentioned in there. There's also a conference by Barry Cunliffe on YouTube that has a lot of historical information. Anyway, unlike you, I was never either Abrahamic or Wiccan, I just went straight from Atheist to CR, which... sometimes feels weird. As mentioned in my own introduction thread, I'm French. Just out of curiosity, do you hail from a historically Celtic land or was your interest sparked by something else?
