I am writing a fictional novel, in the sense that the story centers around characters of my own creation. There are also different pantheons involved in what amounts to a war on a dimensional level. The Kemetic Pantheon plays a very important role, and since these Deities are clearly worshiped by many people I want to approach this as respectfully as possible. My questions are as follows.
Is there a clearly defined King and/or Queen of the Pantheon, along the lines of Zeus and Hera? I know what the Duat is, but is it subdivided like Hades? Is there something akin to a Godly residence like Olympus? In your estimation/experience what is the character/personality of Set (I'm more inclined to write him as ruthlessly pragmatic w/ a soft side towards his fellow deities)? What is the job of Sobek, Is he a warrior? If faced with an external force how would this pantheon collectively react?
These are just a few questions. I might ask more later. Thank you in advance to those of you who are willing and able to answer them.
PS: There is no time limit. Feel free to answer at your leisure

Really "Daily life of the Egyptian Gods" may be a good book for you.
