Hello, everyone. My name is Jasmine, but I selected my user to be Scrivener because I love to write. I keep very odd hours, as I work evenings so I am often online very late at night. I can be found on tumblr under www.Nightscrivener.tumblr.com ; I do not have a specific name I prefer to be called by, though Scriven or Jasmine work for me. Whatever a person is more comfortable with using is okay with me. I am fairly new to Gaelic polytheism, though I have felt a connection with it for some time, especially after following my genealogy a few years back. I've been pestered for quite a long time to hurry up and get my education and practicing on, and I decided to finally listen and get myself in gear. I have been a lurker for some time, but I realize sometimes you need to get out of your comfort zone to get to where you need to be. I am learning, and enjoying my journey. Outside of religion, I am an avid gamer, specifically rpgs and mmos. I also love to read and write. To me, nothing is better than a book in my hands. I look forward to meeting all of you and learning with you. Thank you for having me.

Hello, Allec. Nice to meet you! The last solo games I played were Dragon Age: Inquisition and more recently, Fallout 4. I could go on forever about Fallout 4. I am also very, very, excited to see and play Mass Effect: Andromeda maybe later this year, Deus Ex: Mankind Divided, Dishonored 2, and basically any rpg I can get my hands on. I've also played World of Warcraft for several years. I especially love the role of healing, but I recently made a sneaky rogue and I love it. I love my PvP, even though I'm not particularly stellar at it. I'm still learning and refining my skills.

DA:I looked so cool, so did Fallout 4. I still need to beat Fallout 3 before I justify buying myself FO4 though >>;; WoW is such a staple for so many people I never could get into it, though, partly because the lore just feels overwhelming @_@

Well, WoW is a lot better if you have friends and someone to play with here and there. I have an odd schedule, so I'm usually not on when the bulk of people are on. I focus on other things like collecting pets and making my characters look awesome.
Inquisition is wonderful but it is kind of a mixed gem in the fact that there are some problematic facets in it. The whole Mage/Templar thing really bothers me because I hate the fact it is written in a "grey morality" but not really. I have a lot of things I could go on about, haha.
Fallout 4 is wonderful and you should definitely experience it. Finish 3!

Hey, Scrivener! We're excited to have you! - especially Allec, who's an avid gamer! Have any good book recommendations? I'm running through them like tap water lately.

So I typed out a huge thing and it erased it so forgive me for being a bit annoyed. I tend to read a lot of sci-fi/fantasy and it is definitely my cup of tea. I recommend The Mad Scientist's Daughter by Cassandra Rose Clarke and anything else by Clarke. Mad Scientist will tug at your heart and it is slightly bittersweet, but oh so good. I also like The City of Stairs by Robert Jackson Bennett, and it recently came out with a second novel for the series. My old favorites are anything Tamora Pierce. I've loved her since I was little. Kate Elliot is also a great writer. I think my highest recommendation goes to NK Jemisin because she is wonderful. The Hundred Thousand Kingdoms is her first novel and it has all my favorite aspects of a good fantasy novel. If we are going for non-fiction, I have been reading off and on a book called Evicted by Matthew Desmond. It follows several below poverty level families. I read a lot of sociological and psychological things because I work with at-risk teenagers. Now if you watch documentaries, I've got lots of recommendations for those, too.
