I'm a bit nervous to make this, so please be patient with me ^^;
I know a few people here, or sort of did, a long time ago. People might remember me by the name I used to go by back then, which was Ax - but I haven't gone by that name in a long time now. I still don't really have a replacement name - so feel free to call me whatever, as long as you use they/theirs pronouns to refer to me. About three years ago I was abused by two people in the tumblr pagan community, and the trauma has stuck with me a lot - I developed psychotic symptoms from the stress they put me under, and as some of the abuse was sexual in nature I'm a lot more afraid of people these days. So forgive me for lurking so much..I promise it's not you, it's me. Me and my terrible, no good, very bad PTSD. People were terrifying then, and are terrifying to me now, even though I'm a people person. Trauma and psychosis are no fun, and I've cut and run to hide many times now. (Life can be pretty scary when it feels like the whole world wants to kill you).
Some things about me:
-I'm mixed, though some may not know that about me, as because of unforutunate circumstances out of my mother's and my control, we didn't always know about our full heritage (North African + Italian Sephardi & Polish Ashkenazi, mestizo, West Asian of unknown specifics, and smatterings of European! Being Jewish is my primary focus, though) (and to those that remember, yes, I'm still Polish, and I still honor Veles! My heritage has just expanded by a lot
Its nice to have a sense, even a small one, of where you came from and who you are. And being Jewish has been very, very good for me. I don't think I'd be where I am now without the beautiful Jewish people in my life.)
-I'm a survivor of multiple different abuses (spiritual, sexual, CSA, emotional), which have all irevoccably shaped who I am. I add this in because I want everyone to know that, despite me being very nervous of people, I am always here for my fellow survivors / victims. I've got your backs. I care. I promise.
-I'm disabled, both developmentally and physically. I suffer from PTSD + severe OCD + psychotic symptoms. I'm a chronic pain sufferer and I have a cane whom I've named Daisy. I hit mean people with her, in their shins.
-My religious practice these days mostly revolves around spirit work + ancestor honoring, and GauPol with smatterings of Slavic paganism thrown in. So pretty much the same as it always was, really.
As for things I'm into now, I'm pretty hooked on the Star Wars franchise, though I'm still a Trekkie. I also love to sing and draw, physics, and dinosaurs!
