There's been an uptick in people interested in the goddess Grian (also spelled as Griánne, Grían, and Griann), including myself, so I wonder if anyone here has any experiences, questions, or thoughts about her they'd like to share! For those who don't know, Grian is thought to be a sun deity related to Aíne, due to her name being the Irish word for "sun". If Aíne is related to Midsummer and the bright summer sun, Grian is thought to be related to Midwinter and the pale winter sun. Sadly, we do not have a lot of lore about her. Her name is pronounced GREE-UHN. Here are some pronunciations you can listen to, which includes a Scottish Gaelic pronunciation on the bottom. Here is an article about her on the Guide to Gaelic Polytheism. Here is her e-shrine, run by TheModernSouthernPolytheist and yours truly. If you're interested on some UPG about her, I have written a blog post about my feelings here.

<3 Happy to see some Grian love! I think I need to start incorporating both her and her sister Aine in my worship.

Around this time honoring her can get a little funky since Imbolc is approaching, which is of course Brigid's time. I'm still feeling out my spring associations with her and how they might be separate from Brigid's or Flidais'.
