Hey guys, primarily looking at you people in South County St. Louis, or know people there.
So, if anyone's been following me on Tumblr, you may or may not have noticed I've been whining, a lot, about my wisdom teeth lately.
Long story short, and we may want to get spoiler tags to hide potentially triggering things, WARNING FOR POTENTIAL BODY HORROR, filler text here and here and here... I broke a point on my top left wisdom tooth somehow, I'm guessing while I was asleep, and it's somewhere around gumline and it's been rubbing my cheek raw. And it's more than likely slightly infected. I've been keeping on brushing twice a day + mouthwash, but...
I'm trying to find a dentist that does not take insurance. There's a clinic in Sunset Hills that I've been trying to muster up the guts to call it to see if they do any kind of extractions for the past couple days. I need to get all four taken care of.
Yes, yes, I am avoiding calling them even moreso with this thread, but I do legitimately need a place that definitively does it. I mean, I could call them, set up an appointment to get x-rays and then go to another place, but that sounds really daunting =\ It's all just really intimidating...

As far as I know, most places will take cash if you don't have insurance?? I mean, I could ask around since I live around there, but I hear that plenty of them will work without insurance.

It's mostly cost is the issue and I've no idea how much it is to get four out with one broken. Plus x-rays and anything else they want to prod at @_@

You can always call and ask! I'm not in the area but I work in medical billing, and it's pretty easy to get an estimate, and then set up payment plans if you need to. I know calling is hard but most people in the billing are super nice. And you can always ask and see if they have a financial assistance program too!

That's... actually part of the issue I'm having also. @_@ Been trying to convince myself to call since it happened a few days ago. The clinic I've been eyeballing is one of those that's like the local medical clinic that tries to cater to the community, complete with sliding scale. Partially convinced myself they won't be able to do extractions, especially with a broken tooth and teeth crowding. (My two front teeth have cracks in the enamel going all the way up from it.)
Each time I get motivated (read: my mouth hurts), it's already past their closing time @_@ Even woke up nice and early today with plenty of time to do it.

^ I know that feel. Usually when I need to make a phone call I write a note to myself and stick it on my laptop, where I will be unable to miss it. Because phone calls are the worst but they are also a necessary evil.
