Hi there! My name is Megan, but feel free to call me Miggy or MiggyFool, as well.
I am a twenty-one year old cis woman from North Western Wisconsin. I am currently enrolled at UW-Stout and studying Entertainment Design with a concentration in Animation. I am pansexual and have been in a long and healthy relationship with my partner, Cory.
I was raised in an Evangelical Christian household and was very devout for the first half of my life. Around the time I was fifteen I started to question my faith more, especially when my then-pastor gave a speech around the then-popular "Brokeback Mountain" and gay sex/sex in general is bad mmmkay (my best friend is a gay man and I was struggling with my own sexual identity, so this didn't sit well). By my senior year of high school I decided I was no longer Christian although I had no problems with the majority of my friends and family being devout in their Christian faith.
I still felt like a "spiritual" person even if, at the time, I couldn't put my finger on it. All I knew was that I felt a great connection to the earth and my ancestry. In 2013, I met my now-roomies who were the first Pagans* I had met. Last summer, I woke up one morning feeling like I should do some research on Pagan* religions. My roomie recommended Starhawk's "The Spiral Dance" and I took an immense liking to it (re-reading, I now cringe at some of the phrasings and inaccuracies. I still find it an interesting read and credit it with the beginning of my path. I met Starhawk about a month ago, wonderful human being.)
I am still finding my path and am studying Gaelic, Germanic, and Slavic Polytheism, as I feel very connected to these ancestral places. I am still extremely new to everything dealing with polytheism and reconstructionism, so please correct me if I make a mistake or say something problematic.
Besides my path, I am a huge nerd for art, music, and animation. I am currently addicted to Steven Universe C:
