Gaelic Polytheism is open-- it is perfectly fine to start there if you feel drawn in that direction. However, many pantheons are open. You don't have to be Greek to worship Greek gods, or Germanic to be Heathen/Norse drawn, Italian to worship Roman gods.
Go to what interests you, if it's open.

Oh definitely! And really, both the Anglo-Saxons and the Norse were very present in Britain at various points. A lot of Scottish folklore and such has heavy Norse elements, for example.

Definitely poke around in the individual polytheisms boards! Those can be a bit on the slower side but all of them contain great starter resources from their respective mods, so you'll have a lot to explore. A lot of these aren't limited to ancestry (and if you find someone who's from an open religion telling you it is, run very far in the opposite direction because it's prooooobably white supremacy...) Welcome to the forum, happy to have you!
