Gosh, I love the sound of that - and not just because it rhymes!
How are you all planning on celebrating - secularly? Are you going trick or treating? Staying home, waiting for the doorbell? Are you dressing up? Who are you going to be?
Let's get talking, Skeleton Army! After all, the time is almost here!

I may see if I can camp out in my friend's house and give out candy to trick-or-treaters... But in all likely, I'll be doing something religious this day. Not sure what yet

I'll be working and then afterwards heading out of town to see some friends for the evening. Nothing specifically Halloweeny though.

We have oodles and oodles of kids in the neighborhood so I'll probably dress up to hand out candy. :3

I'm taking a trip to Salem, Mass with the bestie, bc even if it's a tourist trap we're close so we have to do it once, right?
My work is also super into Halloween apparently so we're doing some decorating and stuff there, which is good since we get exactly zero trick-or-treaters at my house. ):
I dunno if I will get the opportunity to dress up but if I do I'm being Star-Lord.

Salem can be fun. It's a seaport and walkable, though there are guided tours as well. I especially liked the House of Seven Gables (as in the book). Some of the witch trial sites are nice and historical like the Witch Trials Memorial next to the old burial ground were the executed are interred. Others are pretty schlocky and you go (if you go) just to say you went. Don't expect much from the metaphysical shops. They don't have anything you couldn't buy elsewhere and they can be over priced, shop if you basically want to have souvenir trinkets of your trip. If you go around Halloween the town will have lots of activities.

I love doing Salem! It's a wonderful trip and I'm sure you'll have tons of fun! They tend to have more activities this time of year - the Witches' and Vampires' Ball, for one, as well as re-enactments of the witch trials and other public spectacles - so there'll be lots of stuff you can't necessarily do other times of the year. My birthday is Nov 10, and I'm planning on hitting up shops for clearance items, etc. One of the stores has incredible deals on herbs already and they might be having a sale. I don't think that's your cup of tea, but my completely-unrelated witchcraft practices demand a constant sacrifice! It's something to keep in mind, though, if you do want a tchotchke or two for friends or relations. A lot of the stores are over-priced, but you can find one or two hidden gems - and get cool things like wolf fur (that supports wolf sanctuaries) and hunks of serpentine to boot!

(I actually have a friend that wolf fur would be a great present for, lol.)

My group of witchy friends and I hold a almost yearly seance. This year was no different! I got to speak with my great-grandmother and it was very fun and lovely!

I went to Salem on Nov 11, for my birthday the day before and it was stunningly quiet. Might have to make Salem for my birthday a yearly event!

It was like an outdoor con, lol. It was a super pretty town, but I don't think I'd ever go during Halloween again.
