Verifying Your Sources
- Try to find other sources to support this source's claim.
- Make sure that your sources are either primary or cite their sources.
- Make sure that sources you're using don't cyclically cite each other.
- Unless the source is for specifically modern practice, make sure that the source is archaeological, anthropological, or otherwise scholarly and not neopagan (a genre which has notoriously few fact-checks).
- Visit our How to research and critically think board.
- Ask trusted people/researchers/experts, if they are available.
