The Polytheist Community Forum is a place for intellectual exchange, education, growth, and camaraderie amongst people of varying polytheistic faiths. It seeks to do this by providing a safe environment for people to share their scholarly and spiritual research, experience, and opinions. Presentation of historical, reliable sources is the forefront of this mission but unverified personal experiences are also welcomed and encouraged.

Q) Ah! I don’t understand how to post on a forum! Or how to join!A) That’s okay! ProBoards has these tutorials for you: Account Creation and Logging In Threads, Posts, Polls, and AttachmentQ) Why do you have so many boards/ what are they all for?
A) So that it is easier for everyone to find exactly what it is that they are looking for. Each board covers a different religion or group of religions, or a specific general topic. Q) How do you search forums and threads?A) When you enter a discussion board, above all of the threads is the search option. Q) How do you message someone?A) Click on their user name to go to their profile, in the top right corner is a message button. Q) What can people see on my profile?A) They can see your email, birthday, gender, the amount of posts you've made, and the date you registered. These can be edited in your settings. Q) Can I change my screen name and/or password?A) Yes you can, if you go to your profile, hit edit profile, and go to personal settings and you can edit it from there. Q) What do I do if someone is harassing me?
A) If someone has been harassing you, please report them to one of the moderators. To do so click on the little settings icon above the post and select 'Report Post.' Alternatively, simply message one of the moderators with the board the post was on, who posted it, and why it was offensive. Q) But it's a mod who's harassing me...A) Tell another mod RIGHT away. We only want kind, considerate, and fair mods on this forum. If you see or feel a mod is not meeting these standards, tell someone immediately and it will be addressed. Mods CAN be banned just like members and HAVE to follow the same rules as everyone else. No exceptions. Q) Will I be banned outright if I break a rule by accident?A) Most likely no. There is a three-strike system where we forgive the first time you break a rule though we give you a warning, and next time you break the rule we give you a harsher warning, and finally we will be at liberty to ban you. While there are special circumstances that may exempt the three-strike process, it would only be to speed things up. For example, if you break a rule and do not show any signs of remorse, we may not give you one strike but three. Or we may decide that the second time you do the offense, it's so obvious you didn't care to correct yourself that we move right to strike three. There are no strike fours. Q) So I got a warning. What does that mean? Can everyone see that?!
A) When you break one of the rules of the forum, a mod will issue a warning level to you. Only you and the forum mods can see what your warning level is. Once you reach or exceed 100% warning level, you will be banned from the forum. Q) Are warnings permanent?
A) No. There are ways to bring down your warning level. First, you can apologize quickly and sincerely for your mistake. Then, you can try to do better. Mods will be watching and will bring your level down as necessarily. If after a month passes without any more transgressions, your level will be brought down by 10%. This will continue until you reach back down to 0%. Q) Can mods go on an unreasonable banning spree?A) Nope! To ban someone, two mods must be involved: one of the mods for the forum in which the reason for banning happened, and one mod outside of that forum. This is to keep a check-and-balance on the mods.
