Hi! I go by Saoirse (my username is fine too!), and I'm not sure what I am religiously, if labels are to be had. I thought I wanted to follow a Gaelic reconstruictionist path, but am opening more to a less rigid way, in order to really practice. So, that's why I'm here! To meet like-minded people and learn. I can be found on tumblr, at river-womans-daughter.tumblr.com/. It's a personal blog, so there's a lot of non-polytheist stuff on there. Lots of animals and LOTR, to be honest. Anyway! I started this journey because of my grandfather, an Irishman who was very set in the faerie faith. I wanted something non-appropriative and historical that would bring me closer to understanding the roots of his beliefs and how they related to our ancestors. So I set about following Celtic Recon. I found a lot of information! Information, and not too much else. I long for more discussion of practical applications of that information and how best to adapt those Celtic Polytheist traditions to modern life. About six months into my serious study I posted on tumblr about all this, got a reply, and here I am. So I'm VERY new to all this, with little to show except for some reading on Irish tradition. I'm studying the Irish language, as well, although so far I find it baffling. I've studied Latin, French and Korean but Irish is by far the most challenging for me. Please forgive my clumsiness in how beliefs are discussed! I'm new to polytheism and even newer to talking about it. I have too many hobbies....I dance, spin, weave, knit, play the flute, study languages, study programming languages, play video games, and read. I grew up in the forests of central Alaska, and it is here that I hunt, fish, and wildcraft. I am a Physics student. Edit to add: I'm one of those grow-your-hair-to-terminal-length types, so if you ever want to talk haircare, drop me a message!

Irish is a frankly ridiculous language, I love it so much. I keep posting weird little tidbits from my Duolingo lessons on my main, it's pretty great.
Nice to see you here! I didn't know you were from Alaska. That will be an interesting seasonal perspective for sure.

Welcome, and it's nice to see another long-haired person! Mine is at my knees, but I need to trim about four inches. How long is yours?

My hair is at classic, so not as long as yours, ayaad.
I used to play a lot on the 360, can't really justify the price of the Xbox one since I spent a bit on a gaming computer. So, I'm mostly PC now. I did finally break down and buy a wii U since the wii exclusives are more appealing than the Xbox One and the PS4 right now. My fiancee jokingly calls it my pikmin machine. I have a 3DS as well. I'm a bit of a nintendo fan!

Woohoo! Another long hair enthusiast! Although mines not as long as it used to be. I cut it to my shoulders a couple of years ago, and it's been a bitch to grow back out. Welcome!

I'm the one who never cuts hair by my own will (several times a part was cut forcefully against my will. It was a lot of stress and I'm so happy that it's growing back to my comfortable length so I can wear a braid :)
