Hi there - my name's Liadine, and I'm 27 years old, queer, and also someone who's not very good at these things.
After some neo-Wiccish beginnings at 14, I eventually stumbled my way towards whatever I have happening now. I've belonged to Brigid and an unnamed antlered god (who I usually refer to as Himself; current guess is that he's a localized British deity of some sort) since my mid-teens, and have been devoted to Persephone for going on seven years now. I also worship other deities (primarily Hellenic and chthonic) in a less intense fashion, although that might end up changing if/when I have the time and mental capacity.
In the side bar I've described myself as an 'eclectic polytheist & fire worker', mostly because that's a hell of a lot shorter than 'research-minded but in no way reconstructionist devotee of several mostly unrelated deities, plus elements of pop culture polytheism/Narnian things although I rarely talk about that, plus non-religious witchcraft, plus elements of Feri, plus some other stuff', even though that's more accurate. (The fire worker thing is something I've been struggling to articulate properly for years now - one of these days I'll manage it, but for now 'I have a lot of religious feelings about fire' will suffice.)
My approach to worship/practice differs a lot between deities - the way I worship Brigid is a lot more personal/eclectic than the way I worship Persephone (or other Hellenic deities) - and I don't really cross the streams if I can help it. I don't know how I've managed to pull all of it into a relatively coherent personal practice, but I appear to have done it somehow, since it works well for me and my deities.
Beyond religion, I'm a witch (as mentioned) who likes to poke around with divination, a writer (currently the very boring kind) by trade, and an inveterate drinker of tea. Shoehorning in hobbies always feels awkward, but the short list: I'm a giant book nerd, make more playlists than I have time to listen to, do fandom-y sorts of things, and tinker with beading and decoupage. I have a religious/witchcraft tumblr under my own name, plus a much less focused one at the-rattlesnakes.
Right! That should do for now, so I'll stop rewriting this and actually post it.
