First time with an attachment in years, so bear with me on that point.
So I made some sigils the other night and wanted to share this one in particular. The common image I associate with this is the common image of human!Luna, but in a much lighter dress.
I came up with this for my brother as a sign of protection against various things that might go bump in the night, from nightmares to more nasty things. At first I was going to keep it to myself, but then I realized that it's better off being shared with others that might need the help.
Not to mention there's little stuff for PC MLP.
I am putting this in clay myself, for myself and my brother, but you can etch it into wood or sew it into cotton if you like.
Colors:
In cotton, this particular sigil goes best with on fabric the color of Luna's eyes with thread the charcoal of Luna's coat for the outline and connecting lines, and the blue of her mane filling the crescents.
On clay, or generally with paints, I'm intending on painting the clay her coat's color and using the blue of her mane for the crescents and connecting lines, but as the note on the page says, blue and white works well, too. Blue for the night sky and white for the stars that dot it.
If I were to paint wood... I would probably use the same color scheme as with clay. Otherwise just seal it normally after carving/burning it.
Intent/Infusing:
Okay, so the general intent behind this is a general mix of warding and white-light. The burning ivory of stars is what I imagine with this, but don't infuse, because of their unceasing and and uncaring (essentially cold) "fury". What I do freely imagine and have the will to infuse is that they will not let those unwanted pass and will stand as silent guardians, though compassionate to their charge - much like they guarded Luna during her banishment.
The added image of Princess Luna doesn't hurt either. Unyielding and firm against those that would bring harm.
The blues are what give the hard and stone-faced guardians their compassion. The charcoal grey is what makes them uncaring to those they protect their charge from. The image that they take, however, is of course entirely up to the user.
I did share this with the Friendship is Pagan Tumblr last night, so it is still yet to be posted, but I really wanted to share this here as well.
