Searlait Yup! The wood was too hard to carve, but the woodburner worked just fine.

Hello! I thought I would share a few of the projects I've been trying to put together lately. I'm only just learning to craft so don't mind my humble attempts! Heh. The first one is the top of a candle I've devoted to Manannan Mac Lir. Just a simple triskele painting. The second is a simple Slainte sign.

Rearranged my shrine space. While cleaning up I decided that yes I would have room for everything if I just moved stuff around a bit. So far I've got a shrine for the Morrigan occupying the shelf that was formerly the general shared Gaelic shrine. I felt that she needed her own spot and so the sisters have their own spot. Lugh and the others have taken over a good chunk of my sewing table. My nightstand meanwhile has been arranged into a Buddhist shrine. My image of Budai is there, a nice wooden figure of him. I also have a Buddha image thanks to a book with him on it, a bowl for offerings, the donation box I keep for the wat, some japa mala sets that I use for nothing really, and incense and a burner. I need to get candles there too though they won't burn. Occasionally I might buy flowers to put on it as well. To watch them wilt over time as a reminder of my own mortality.
Because Buddhism is the happy religion of happiness and thinking about corpses.
I also want to get an image of Guanyin to put on it. I owe a lot to her and she means a lot to me. I'd like just like a picture of her there or something so I can leave offerings in front of it. Though I have and will leave things to her anyway, image or no.

I'm generally thinking of creating a coloring book for Celtic (maybe a specific nation? I haven't decided yet) gods and goddesses; prayer cards; and, of course, little zines explaining topics related to Irish polytheism (at least). Basically, all of my current projects are more community based than personal.

Project #1: The devotional book for Djehuty and Set-- and yes, we are seeking submissions! Project #2: The devotional website for Djehutyalways under construction, no design at all, but it recently was moved to faster server and it already has a whole bunch of valuable information and resources. Project #3: Thanslating books from english to russian - there are actually 2 important books in the queue... Project #4: home-shrine building :) Turning my old loggia (balcony) into fully dedicated shrine room I cleaned it from all old piles of stuff and garbage * russians tend to use loggias as storage rooms, this is our bad habit :) - and gave away to charities and book collectors huge heaps of old books that were stored there too, but were not relevant to me anymore... --- and so finally next step, ordered the new window system installation. After the new windows will be installed (in the beginning of june), I can work on internal renovation and turning this space into very small but lovely shrine. ... this is the current state, -- waiting to be renewed and turned into a sacred space :)
