So of course the Kemetic calendar is a massive mess. There were holidays for every day, made up holidays being passed off as being around in antiquity, and of course the calendar year changing every year, and changing based on your location. So I figured I'd ask:
1.) Which holidays do you celebrate? Are there any you plan on celebrating/would like to celebrate in the future but currently don't?
2.) How seriously do you take the holidays you do celebrate? Do you celebrate holidays for/involving deities you don't work with?
3.) Do you use a calendar someone else made, like KO's? Do you recalculate it every year? Do you pick dates and keep them the same every year?

I tend to focus on the holidays that have to do with only my Father (Sobek-Ra) or my first couple beloveds (Wadjet and Dejhuty). I don't have a huge connection to Bast, and am slowly making my way to Aset-serqet.
I don't really bother with the holidays that focus on the NTR that I don't work with. Too many holidays for me otherwise, lol.
I do use KO's calendar, since I'm a Shemsu. (: And it's less of a headache for me.. win!

I have a compiled calendar from several different sources, and try to keep in mind the important dates. This doesn't always work. I keep forgetting dates, if they don't have personal significance. However, I also try to follow lunar cycles and do regular large & formal rituals for Djehuty every full moon. Also, the entire month of august was full of special Djehuty dates - a reason to turn august into wholly dedicated month.
I also celebrated WR once. Probably will do this year, too. I usually don't care about the calendar dates for deities I don't work with. Until there;s sort of interesting flashmob going, or the deity catches my attention and I have an urge to do something for them.
I do not use KO calendar. I combined fixed dates from several different books. I don't recalculate every year.

Do you recalculate it every year? Do you pick dates and keep them the same every year? I only celebrate 2 holidays with any consistency: Wep Ronpet and the Mysteries. I want to celebrate more, but they never work out. I just lack the spoons or the desire, I guess. I like the idea of celebrating, the same way I like the idea of rituals every day. But for whatever reason... it never seems to happen. The holidays that I do celebrate I tend to take fairly seriously. Generally speaking, the Mysteries are more important than WR, but WR is becoming more and more serious with each year. Each of my gods has sorta taken over for each holiday, and because of that, I have to be more serious in what I do. I use KO's calendar for some of my stuff. However, I'm not nailed down to their dates, either. I have no issue sliding a holiday a few days forward or backwards to better fit into my schedule. I would prefer to celebrate on a weekend when I am not working, and I imagine the gods are okay with this, too. -Devo
