Hi! You can call me C. I use he/him or they/them pronouns.
I'm... very very new to polytheism. I was raised Christian; my parents aren't very devout, but I went to a Christian private school for much of my life. I more or less fell out of Christianity when I was about 14 or so. I didn't have any like, official "I'm done with this" moment or anything, but I was increasingly upset by the people around me at school using Christianity to justify being bigoted (particularly homophobic) and by certain aspects of Christianity itself.
After that I mostly identified as agnostic, but last year I began to look into polytheism, particularly Irish polytheism--I got curious about what Irish mythology was like, and then I stumbled onto the polytheism side of it. I'm still in the veeeeery beginning stages of it; I've barely even done anything beyond just research if I'm honest. I've been having trouble figuring out how to proceed, so I figured that talking to people might help? Except I don't have anyone I already know who I feel very comfortable talking about it to, and I'm very shy so I don't feel comfortable just messaging someone on tumblr or something out of the blue... But somehow posting on a forum is okay?? Social anxiety is weird I guess. (Admittedly this forum seems pretty quiet overall, so maybe not the best option as far as finding people to talk to, but at least it's something).
Outside of religious stuff, I'm an artist and I like scifi and fantasy novels and am not great at describing myself. My username comes from the song of the same name by Kate Bush; it's one of my favorite songs and it came to mind while I was trying to think of a username.
