So the big eclipse is on Monday and I'm struggling to find anything that surrounds such a major event. I'd love to find something "official" I could do for Manannan, even though I'm in St. Louis and there is absolutely zero sea water around, or potentially even Väinämöinen or Math and Gwydion (though the latter is a bit of an asshole).
I have so much respect for the latter three that if they had something "official" I could do that'd be perfectly fine.
Surely there's something surrounding eclipses, or have I just read too many fantasy books??

I don't think any Celtic solar eclipse lore is known, unfortunately. I'm sure any of those four would be happy with something unofficial, though!

Right?? I'm thinking I'll have to do just that. Just seems so odd that there wouldn't be anything, lol, but then again that could just be the fantasy books :'D
Suggestions? I know music would be a big one.. I've not done holiday observances before but eclipses are just like... fucking awesome??? and generally rare and so it's like I WANT TO DO SOEMTHING.

I'm not planning to do anything complicated, just put some water in a yellow glass jar and charge it during the eclipse for use in future solar rituals/spells. The sun deity I'm working with is Sulis, so I'll use fresh water. Doing something similar with salt water might be good for Manannan, though.
