Hello there. I tend to go around the net as Aondeug, and I'm generally not very picky about nicknames. So. Though people tend to use Aon. Anyway. I've been studying and practicing Irish polytheism of a reconstructionist bent for near a year now. Out of a vow to do so for personal reasons relating to a dream I had about Lugh and promises to him. Before that I identified as a Theravadan Buddhist for about four years. Which is quite the jump! To say the least. At the end of this year I'll stop and look on things and then. Hopefully have my religion thing sorted out more, in terms of what I really want to do with my life and what I feel fits.
Hobby wise. Religion in general is just kind of a hobby I guess? I like to study Islam a lot, in terms of religions that I study that I don't practice. Then there's language. I really like to study language. I'm not fluent in anything but English, though I can converse in Arabic a bit. Instead I'm mostly content to study bits and bobs of various languages and then how languages "works". Which is why I'm trying to become a linguist. Then there's roleplaying. I like that a lot. Most of it has been Homestuck rp lately. Video games are a thing too? And I really like origami.

Hey! Are there any languages in particular that you enjoy learning about? And what form of roleplaying do you partake in? Forum posting/threads, chat rooms, table top, live action, etc?

I've studied Arabic like I said. Because I was Theravadan Buddhist and because I'm still very deeply intrigued and touched by it I studied Pali too. Pali basically being the religion's Latin. I've studied a bit of Japanese many years ago, and some of it's stuck on. Then there's a bit of Russian and I've been studying Irish too. Even if I never become fluent in any of the dialects, I feel that it's important that I learn at least some Irish if I'm going to be working with, for lack of a better way to word this, Irish gods. More so when I'm part Irish myself. And then there's Spanish. I've done a bit of that too.
If we count fictional languages then I've studied Tolkien's languages, and I want to start learning Mando'a.
As for rp...I do stuff over forums, IRC, and the various homestuck themed sites (flarping, cherubplay, msparp).
Games...I own a PS3 and I do use my computer for games. Then there's my 3DS which is just. The most glorious thing.

Referring to Pali as Theravadan Latin is such a perfect analogy!!! And your linguistic ventures sound a lot like mine, save the Arabic. I speak some Russian, French, and Spanish and I'm working on Irish, too! Welcome aboard!

Oh French is a thing I'm going to start studying this semester at school. I've always kind of wanted to learn at least bits of it just because I thought it sounded nice. All the more so because I wanted to crack the code of the "random and useless" e's and such. That and the r is the Arabic ghayn so. Yeah. Voiced velar fricative is such a great fucking sound.
And thank you. It's nice to meet you and the others here.

Well I've been playing Shin Megami Tensei 4 lately. And I need to get back on Devil Survivor Overclocked. Fire Emblem Awakening too. I really liked Theatrhythm too. Not much of a Final Fantasy person honestly, but I do like the music a lot. Then I have OoT 3D and Link Between Worlds.
I am just
Dying for Majora's Mask 3D to hit. Jesus. I have always kind of dreamed of being able to go through a prettier version of the game. And be able to see Stone Tower Temple reversed at night. And I'll be able. AND IN 3D. Wow.
